HMRC have launched a blog aimed at improving the way the department works with tax advisers.
The new offering supports the Revenue’s strategy for engaging with tax agents, providing a channel to communicate about:
- taxman-and-agent consultative meetings;
- rollout of HMRC’s tax agent strategy;
- improvements to the Revenue’s services through joint working; and
- services available for agents.
The blog – HMRC Working with Tax Agents – is among the first of a number of digital services set to being introduced by the taxman over the next couple of years.
Revenue strategy boss Theresa Middleton said, “We involve and consult with agents and their representatives in many different ways. The aim is to keep people up to date through regular blogging and to have a more immediate way of getting agents’ views.”
