PAYE

Changes have been made to the following employer payment booklets and letters: Employer payment booklet (P30BC), Paying PAYE electronically (P30B) and Paying PAYE (P30B Annual). These documents will no longer carry the name, address or telephone details of the issuing office.

Disputes

HMRC have published updated versions of the Code of governance for resolving tax disputes and the Litigation and settlement strategy commentary (www.lexisurl.com/taxdisdec13). The code now contains information on the case boards and the commentary consolidates changes from the annual report and code.

Phishing scam

HMRC have issued a warning about a bogus email advising employers that the latest version of the Employer Bulletin (issue 45) has been published. The email has an attachment which should not be opened because it contains a virus.
