- Contact all clients who have between 10 and 49 employees to make sure they are aware they will have to report PAYE in real time from 6 April 2014.
- HMRC accepted in Gibson that the original house later demolished had been the taxpayer’s residence but denied his claim for main residence relief because he had not lived in the new one. Had the property been refurbished the relief would probably have been due.
- Advise non-resident clients with a UK home that they may be able to make a main residence election in order to avoid the new charge to tax ...
