Car blooper

Giles Mooney used a personal story to highlight the importance of checking the details of the particular car you are buying.

Having ascertained that the model of car he wanted was just below the 130g/km limit for 18% capital allowances he agreed to buy a high-spec example that had been used by a dealer.

He discovered too late that the 17” wheels with which it was fitted rather than the 15” standard ones meant that his car was listed with emissions just over the limit at 131 g/km.
