New PO box addresses
A series of new PO box addresses is being introduced for HMRC, in direct response to the changing nature of the department’s business and geographical locations of offices.
Following the success of a pilot exercise in 2011 for self assessment and PAYE taxpayers, the Revenue plans to extend the pilot to cover other business areas, including:
- specialist personal tax;
- VAT;
- criminal investigations;
- specialist investigations;
- debt management and banking; and
- local compliance.
The new addresses will start appearing on HMRC correspondence this month.
