Independent VAT consultant and Manchester United fan Neil Warren could not help but notice when VAT and football crossed paths in the recently published responses to HMRC’s consultation document VAT: Addressing Borderline Anomalies.
It explained the proposals to reduce anomalies in areas such as hot takeaway food self-storage hairdressers’ chair rental sports nutrition drinks holiday caravans and approved alterations to listed buildings.
