The best way to test and review these books is to pick a subject to compare and contrast their coverage. I will also give my personal thoughts on layout and ease of use and general technical content.
Tolley’s includes several indices: a table of statutes a table of statutory instruments a table of leading cases as well as the usual A to Z index. Additionally the inside cover lists a ten-year summary of rates and allowances with the main social security benefit rates for 2011/12 listed on the inside back cover.
Bloomsbury’s publication has the usual A to Z index at the back but it...
