Offshore mutual funds
John Barnett pointed out the advantages of being able to reinvest 100% of the return from an investment (as opposed to 50% after tax) by using an offshore mutual fund. A 5% gross return reinvested net of additional rate tax gives a total return of 63.9% over 20 years.
