Dragon boats
TaxAid will be hosting dragon boat races at Wellington Country Park lake on 10 and 11 September. The cost is £100 for each participant, covering entry to the estate, parking, Saturday evening hog roast and beer reception, camping site, Sunday racing, and changing facilities. The corporation tax records of companies and organisations formerly dealt with by the tax office in Aberdeen, those with reference numbers prefixed by 795, were transferred in July to HMRC Local Compliance, Corporation Tax Operations, Caledonian House, Greenmarket, Dundee DD1 4QX.
Guide for schools
HMRC have published a gift aid and payroll-giving guide for school charities. It contains information and simple examples specifically related to funds received by school charities to help make the most of these donations.
R&D production
HMRC invites comments on their draft guidance on the definition of ‘production’ for research and development tax relief purposes. Comments should be submitted by 30 September 2011.
