We filed a monthly CIS ‘nil’ return for the month ending 5 July 2010 online on 19 July 2010 and received immediate acknowledgement by an email from the Government Gateway.
On 3 August 2010 we received a late return filing penalty in respect of the above return issued by the Chapel Wharf area. We therefore appealed against the penalty on 12 August enclosing a copy of the Gateway notification.
On 1 September 2010 we received another late return filing penalty in respect of the above month and again issued by the Chapel Wharf area.
We appealed against this on 14 September and sent a copy of both our earlier letter dated 12 August and a further copy of the Gateway notification.
