'Conversion' packages yet to take off

Users of software provided by the company Absolute have became some of the first people to successfully file using third-party software.

The firm's support team director, Sarah Murray, said, ‘It was nice to receive confirmation from HMRC that our customers are successfully submitting iXBRL accounts, but it was even better to hear from the customers themselves.

‘We’ve worked very hard to ensure our users have had plenty of time to get used to the new system, and they’re now telling us directly and via internet forums that the product is working well and they are glad they’ve moved to Absolute.

The company added that was difficult to tell from HMRC statistics, but it appeared that none of the providers of iXBRL ‘conversion’ packages have managed to successfully file accounts as yet.
