Searching for the tax office

'Where the name of the location exists, there is no postcode provided'

Just in case no one has mentioned it already, I have seen various references in recent months to the fact that it is possible to find the tax office dealing with a particular client via the ‘view statements’ facility for that client under HMRC’s self assessment online service.

This is fine provided an online statement exists; if it doesn’t then the information isn’t available elsewhere to the best of my knowledge and belief.

Perhaps more importantly, where the name of the tax office exists there is no postcode provided.
