Send and receive bulk information via the net
Information about the secure electronic transfer (SET) service and how to sign up is available on HMRC’s website.
SET is the secure online service that allows businesses and HMRC to send and receive bulk information via the internet.
It has been designed to replace transfers of physical media such as tapes, disks, CDs and paper.
The service does not replace existing methods of online filing (most of which involve filling out a form online) as it is designed for bulk transfers of data, currently 2Gb, expanding to 10Gb in the near future.
