Dates given for affected businesses

HMRC advise that they are unable to issue payslip booklets for 2009/10 for a limited period because the department is issuing the bulk of booklets for 2010/11.

This will affect businesses between the following dates, depending on which accounts office they are linked to:

  • Shipley Accounts Office - 4 January to 29 January.
  • Cumbernauld Accounts Office - 25 January to 19 February.

The issue of 2009/10 booklets will resume as normal after these dates.

Taxpayers who have a payment to make before these dates, but who do not have a payslip (or payslip booklet), can use the online facilities to make payment.

If this is not possible, businesses can call HMRC on 0845 366 7816 and ask them to send some payslips or tell them that no payment is due for a particular month.

Businesses that prefer not to wait for HMRC to send the payslips can send their payment (or notification of nothing to pay) to the Shipley accounts office, together with a letter including the company/employer name, address, telephone number, accounts office reference, the month, deduction year and amount being paid.
