Taxation Awards winner John Whiting OBE, recipient of this year's lifetime achievement prize, is set to chair a debate on tax havens on Tuesday 14 July.
The free event, organised by christian campaign group JustShare, will explore whether offshore financial centres create opportunities for entrepreneurship in the developing world or encourage exploitation and undermine good governance.
The speakers will be Howard Bilton, chairman of tax planning company Sovereign, and economist John Kay, who will state their cases from 1.05pm to 2pm at St Mary-le-Bow church, Cheapside, London.
Refreshments will be served afterwards.
See JustShare's website for more details, or email the social justice organisation.
