Two draft regulations

Two draft regulations concerning real estate investment trusts have been published.

One concerns the use of artificial structures to meet the conditions of the REIT regime, the other stops owner occupied properties from being in the regime.

Comments on these draft statutory instruments should be sent by 22 May 2009 to Tony Linehan, CT&VAT, Trading and Property Income Team, 3C/17, 100 Parliament Street, London SW1A 2BQ.
