IPCC's Judy Clements to replace Dame Barbara

HMRC have appointed Judy Clements (pictured) as their new Adjudicator, to take over the role from Dame Barbara Mills, who has held the position for a decade.

Ms Clements is currently director of the Independent Police Complaints Commission's customer services and communication directorate.

She will join the Revenue on 20 April 2009.

The department's chairman, Mike Clasper, greeted the appointment by saying: 'Ms Clements brings with her a wealth of relevant experience. HMRC has been extremely fortunate to have benefited from Dame Barbara's insight and guidance over the past ten years, and I wish her well for the future.'
