I know that the subject of VAT registration delays has been given much attention in the recent past and that much progress has been made in the registration office.

However I am finding extreme difficulty with the workings of the system of further security checks whereby some cases are selected to be sent to Cardiff.

I am involved in applying for clients’ registration for several cases which have been sent to Cardiff.

That office it seems takes several weeks before even looking at a case and then they are shrouded in secrecy with no possibility of discussion with them.

The reasons for the case having been sent there are not given so there is no way to attempt to clear up any concerns quickly.
