The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT) and the Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) have published the results of their examinations, which were held in May 2008.

479 candidates passed this paper out of a total of 689 sitting the examination with 17 candidates being awarded a distinction.

Paper 2 — Business Taxation & Accounting Principles

389 candidates passed this paper out of a total of 631 sitting the examination with 23 candidates being awarded a distinction.

Paper 3 — Business Tax: Higher Skills

231 candidates passed this paper out of a total of 399 sitting the examination with 5 candidates being awarded a distinction.

Paper 4 — IHT, Trusts and Estates

61 candidates passed this paper out of a total of 74 sitting the examination with 7 candidates being awarded a distinction.

Paper 5 — VAT

28 candidates passed this paper out of a total of 47 sitting the examination with 4 candidates being awarded a distinction.

Paper 6 — Business Compliance

44 candidates passed this paper out of a total of 48 sitting the examination with 8 candidates being awarded a distinction.

Paper 7 — Practice Administration & Ethics

316 candidates passed this paper out of a total of 635 sitting the examination with 12 candidates being awarded a distinction.
