Everyone in the tax world has something to say. At least that's been my experience.
I've only been editor of Taxation.co.uk for a few short months but I strongly suspect that I could spend ten years in my role and still not encounter a tax professional who didn't hold a forthright opinion on at least one aspect of his or her business.
From a journalistic point of view this is a wonderful thing. I can fire off but a single question to explode an interviewee into a dazzling burst of information and commentary.
(Although it's hell on the wrist as I scribble everything down. I take solace that in the aforementioned decade's time the chip in my brain will record what I hear over the holo-phone and then I'll simply plug myself into the internet to down-think the text to Taxation's web 7.0 site.)
