Our campaign to prevent planned redundancies at HMRC has received a mention on news site AccountingWEB.co.uk - and more significantly it has been reported on in the Tolley's Practical Tax newsletter which is published by LexisNexis owner of Taxation magazine.

Senior tax figures offer support and tax bodies call for a rethink but stop short of backing the campaign

Taxation magazine has responded to HMRC's loss of an unencrypted copy of the UK's child benefit data by launching a campaign to 'stop the next round of staff cuts' proposed for the department. But HMRC told TPT that it 'clearly would not reduce posts at the expense of efficiency or performance'.

Taxation said the loss had focused attention on service failures in the department...
