Daniel's background is a journalistic one; his previous role was senior writer for a new media agency within the Daily Mail and General Trust media group.
He began his career at a glossy local-interest title in his native Sheffield, where he rose to the position of chief reporter before relocating to London. He has also worked at Teletext — across its television, internet and intranet services — and for an independent corporate publishing company.
Taxation's editor, Mike Truman, greeted Daniel's appointment to Taxation.co.uk by saying: “Daniel's experience in journalism and new media will combine wonderfully with the rest of our team's taxation expertise and editorial know-how, making sure our website goes from strength to strength as we celebrate the magazine's 80th birthday”.
