ROSINA PULLMAN explains TaxAid's current work and its future plans.

FOR ANY CHARITY it starts with a vision. Visions are inspired by and inspire the brightest and the best. Our vision is that everyone on low incomes across the UK can get their tax sorted out without getting lost in the maze and falling into the traps. If the public understood their responsibilities if tax were simpler if HMRC got it right first time then TaxAid would not be needed. In the meantime we are needed to intervene for the individual low-income taxpayer. The practical outcome of such interventions is that we effectively cut costs for HMRC through case resolution as shown in Case study 1 below and also in Case study 2.
