I AM FULL of admiration for the authors of the income tax handbooks published by CCH Tolley and Tottel. Summarising and explaining UK income tax is an enormous task especially given the extent the legislation has expanded over the last ten years.
This exponential growth does of course mean that practitioners find it increasingly necessary to rely on secondary sources even if only as a guide to identifying the relevant legislation and case law. All three income tax books aim to provide this assistance but they are not...
