Tax return deadline

I walked round with an income tax return to Wrexham tax office on 29 January 2007. No receipts were issued due to the number of people waiting in queues. I am looking daily for receipt of the taxpayer's return showing as accepted on website; no luck at present. I am told by the helpline that there is a two week backlog and not to worry …

I am not aware of whether the following is as a result of the industrial action or not but thought you may be interested to hear of our problem.
