Taxbriefs has produced its Tax Guide for many years now and it has largely become the tax reference guide for the financial services profession. Without beating about the bush — it is very good!
In my opinion it deserves a wider audience than just the finance profession although it could be said that solicitors and accountants (and indeed others) are actually all part of the financial services profession. They could benefit greatly from this book.
The book contains eleven chapters dealing with personal tax National Insurance contributions corporate tax VAT estate planning stamp duty land tax etc. It gives many examples of the application of taxes as well as explaining the principles. The text is set out in a very clear...
