WRITE AN ARTICLE about blogging says my hitherto esteemed editor. But I don't know anything about blogging I say. Well you soon will then says he heartlessly. Over to me then. I had better warn readers that I approach the subject of blogs in a highly cynical and sceptical way. My first experiences of blogs are that they are little more than an excuse for self indulgent rants a way of putting forward one's own views for no very good purpose and without even the benefit of receiving money for it. Perhaps I will be converted.
A blog is a weblog or internet diary. The blogger owns the website and updates his journal as often as he wishes. He imparts his own views on potentially any subject saying what he likes without censure from anyone else although the libel laws still apply. The...
