Prosecution rate
The Revenue and Customs Prosecutions Office, which has 255 employees, including 80 lawyers and a budget of £35.6 million, has marked its first year in operation with the following statistics:
- it has handled over 1,700 cases, with over 75% guilty pleas and convictions in 89.5% of cases;
- it has achieved 411 confiscation orders, worth £36,617,204, of which £21,167,236 has been collected.
