Breakfast briefing
This is the final reminder that Taxation is holding a free Budget breakfast briefing, sponsored by Chilterns and Digita, on 4 April 2006 at the Jurys hotel, Great Russell Street, London WC1. This is the perfect opportunity to find out more about the key issues in the Budget. Although there is no charge for the briefing (or the breakfast!), you do need to book in advance. The briefing starts at 8.30 and should finish around 10.30.
The speakers and subjects will be:
- Mike Truman, editor Taxation magazine: Introduction and overview, pensions, anti-avoidance;
- Paula Tallon, director of direct tax, Chiltern plc: Mobile phones and computers, zero-rate corporation tax, EIS/VCT, disguised remuneration;
- Wilson Cotton, director of Smith & Williamson Ltd (on behalf of Digita): Trusts;
- Mike Thexton, Thexton Training: VAT.
Since the Chancellor's speech last Wednesday, bookings have significantly increased, so book now to secure a place by e-mailing: conferences@lexisnexis.co.uk, with full contact details and quoting code H04T172.
