Helpful, but unwise?

My office is at my home address. A small number of my clients have HMRC correspondence via the office, for PAYE or VAT return matters, or because they travel and are rarely home around critical deadlines.

These are arrangements of expediency and mutual convenience. However one client has recently fallen into serious debt and county court letters bailiff threats etc. are now turning up at my address needing swift phone calls and recorded delivery responses.
Now in his case unwisely we also allowed other business correspondence to be sent here after his emigration. But do HMRC ever share agent 'accommodation addresses' with collection agencies?
In this era of POCA 2002 MLR 2003 and instant information sharing where do we draw the line between expediency and exposure to serious risk from debt collection procedures or damaging our own credit rating?
Is there any central contact point where one can correct the wrongful address link?
Readers' thoughts are welcomed.
