Removal of taxpayers from self assessment


 

 

I am becoming very concerned about the number of taxpayers receiving letters stating that they are no longer required to complete self-assessment tax returns as their other income may be coded out. I took the entrepreneurial initiative of approaching letting agencies to gain clients and have had a hitherto fruitful relationship with one agency. My clients are now being taken out of self assessment as their income may be coded out.

 

One client who has a seasonal job through an employment agency every year (and each year will be her last) has received one such letter. The Inland...
